Christmas Decorations, Aurignac

These are some of the Christmas decorations on the street in Aurignac. Christmas here is very much more low-key than it is at home. Aurignac is a small place but even in Toulouse city there wasn't the same razzmatazz about Christmas in the shops etc. It's a different experience, but I must say I like the quietness. People here are very friendly and welcoming. I was here for two days in October and when I went to Christmas Eve Mass last night one of the ladies I met back then remembered me and invited me to sit with her and her husband. It made me feel quite at home. Today was traditional in one way - turkey, ham and christmas pudding were all on the menu. Then we went for our second walk of the day to shake it all down. Now it's time to light the fire and settle down with a good book or a movie - bliss! Happy Christmas all.
