Gallybagger Festival

A Gallybagger is an old Isle of Wight word for a Scarecrow. Every year one of the villages holds a Gallybagger festival where lots of the houses make a scarecrow and display them through the village. There are over 100. It was nice to walk through the village and stop for a cuppa at the village hall, where you can vote for you favourite. I just had to vote for Hong Kong Fooey, with my martial arts connection, I just had to. I've put some more pictures in the extras. The King Neptune one was made out or recycled plastic and was a great idea. The horsey one reminded me of a friend that loves horse riding.
