I considered an afternoon walk but after seeing all the weeds that have appeared since the recent rain I decided that the garden must have priority.

I weeded and cut the Aquilegia back in the hope of a second flowering. Then the rain started again so the gardening was abandoned for the day. 

I'm sure these are Campanula. They've been in the front border for years and give a lovely splash of colour.
