The roses are coming out

Been attacked by greenfly and whitefly recently but i think we have conquered them at last, i dont like to use pesticides but whitefly do take some removing I've been rubbing them off gently every day.

Saw some gypsy caravans today at Hook Moor nr Aberford, the old horse drawn ones. They had quite a few horses pulling them and tethered at the back. There were also signes that horses had been tethered on the grass verges at Aberford when we took the dogs. I recon they are on their way up to the Appleby Fair which is in 2 or 3 weeks I believe.

We usually see the caravan travellers but not the old style ones. Took me back to being a kid they always camped at Hook Moor which was then on the Great North Road until they built a motorway and bypassed it.
