Watching the Tomatoes Grow

Here's one of the places I sit and knit and ponder. I swear the tomatoes grow a few inches every night! I've just started to put up the tomato cages; if I wait much longer it will be too hard to get the wire cylinders over the leaves. Every year I wait as long as possible to do this chore because I don't like looking at the crooked sticks and wonky mesh. It would be so much better if everything was straight! Truth is, once the plants are four feet tall I won't notice the angles. I keep thinking I'll go out and buy new sticks and paint them with bright shiny stripes, but you can see how far that's gotten.
