Memorial Day

Breaking the rules today and posting a picture taken yesterday. While hunting for a spot to launch our canoe, we came upon a little old church,  surrounded by a cemetery.
Since it was Memorial Day weekend, we decided to take some time and look at the graves. There were several Finnish names; this area had many immigrants from Finland.
I was touched by this stone, without any name or dates, it just said FATHER.
Remembering all the fathers, sons and others who gave their life for this country. Thankful for freedom.
