Delightful Detour Dip

The bonus of working last night was the slightly later start this morning, plus my breakfast and lunch were already at work ready for me so I could filled my bag with swimming essentials instead. A detour down to Burley, a quick change in to my swimming shoes to cross the steeping stones, and along the bank to an accessible spot, albeit rather muddy underfoot in the river. I did have a brief moment of nerves looking at the not too clear water, wondering what was lurking below, but once in it was delightful. Sadly it was over too soon, and I was back on my bike pedaling hard towards work. I got as wet on the journey home, sadly by a big rain storm. Not so much fun!!
