All the fun of the fair

The first Wednesday after the Bank Holiday, just for one day, a fun fair occupies the main streets of Pinner. This street fair dates back to the 14th century when it was given a Royal Charter to enable it to be held at the same time each year. It does cause a lot of traffic problems in the area but it is still a fairly popular event although certainty not as busy as it used to be. Although I keep on about needing some rain, it is sad that it is raining today on the day of the fair.
