ayrshire in full bloom

Driving around Ayrshire this past week, I couldn’t get over the colour of almost every hedgerow - brilliant white flowering wherever you looked.

I snapped this view of Arran through the Hawthorne bushes in full bloom from a hilltop just outside Kilmarnock that has an impressive but apparently hardly visited tower monument to William Wallace.
