Family Christmas

We've had a full house today and consequently the preparation began early. By 8am the oven was on, the turkey was going through its pre-oven rituals and vegetables were being prepared. Family from both sides joined us for Christmas lunch, head chef Annie doing a fantastic job to serve up a dinner to satisfy one and all.

This afternoon we were joined by more family and Immy and Rosie and with their arrival the present opening frenzy began!

I (Chris) prepared the evening buffet (mainly"heating" rather than cooking) and was quite surprised how much appetite still existed. Most have been partly induced by the dramatic games of Trivial Pursuit and Yahtzee.

Post buffet, there is now a tense round of Monopoly underway in the dining room whilst Rosie and I deal with blip business.
