Ocotillo

Went to Fonts Point today (Borrego Springs, CA).  Impressive view of the badlands, but looking in the other direction, the clouds were spectacular.  This ocotillo just survives in such an inhospitable spot, right on a ridge.  It will produce leaves and flowers very rapidly following rain, although that is a rare event, here.
