Puffin spotting
Almost two years to the day since our last visit we headed back to Bempton Cliffs today as the forecast fulfilled its promised of a bright morning and a dry day. The journey was lengthy and we were well and truly in the overflow car park once we arrived but the resulting shots were worth the journey. Four single puffins before lunch were topped by numerous puffins on the same cliffs as the gannets at the Staple Newk viewing platform.
Mum and Bailey people-watched from a bench whilst we puffin spotted and tried to track swooping gannets. We headed back over the bridge after a few hours of marvelling at birds. Hundreds of shots have been downloaded and we've spotted even more puffins than we thought we had seen and Bailey has snoozed the evening away - anyone would think he had walked there and back.
