Desperation blip
I left home for work at 7.45am. I finally got home just short of 9pm this evening, after doing a full day then travelling 80 miles to get from work to James' school for parents evening, then dropping in to see my popsicles (or A.P. as he likes to call himself - Aged Parent!) and then dropping James back at his Dads, then driving back home (nearly 40 miles).
It seems my Dad likes Wordle (the website I used to create the image for my blip yesterday). AP- Corin says thank you for the Whiskey...we will provide briefing notes for you following first taste this evening! Had a nice chat with Dad and Ann about situations at work...it was good to vent my spleen a bit. Then helped Ann to set up a coded booking plan in Excel for her unit at the hospital (to help with block booking each of the 'beds' in her unit for different treatments like transfusions). I like being able to help with stuff like that...gives me really useful examples for the kids about using ICT in the real world, but also makes me feel good because I have helped someone :-)
Collapsed on the sofa to watch Billy Connolly's Journey to the Edge of the World, only to find that our digital receiver has lost a whole pile of channels due to no signal, and ITV was one of them. So we changed over to old style Analogue and couldn't tune much better than a fuzzy snowstorm (even with aerial!) Grrrrrr.
Sparky was being Mr Cute with Corin - climbed on the back of the sofa and kept nuzzling Corin and giving him little licks on the nose (the cat was giving corin the licks, not the other way round!!!). Fortunately my camera was handy as I had been outside 'comet gazing' last night...so in desperation, the cute cat and boyfriend got blipped.
If anyone's interested ...Google "Comet Lulin" ...you should be able to find a star map to locate it...decent pair of binoculars or a telescope will allow you to see this greenish comet which is currently scraping across the lower reaches of the constellation "Leo" (which is below the bowl of the Plough). Also visible at the moment, below and left of Leo is Saturn, which again, with decent glassware, you can see the rings of the planet. Venus is low and bright in the sky to the south shortly after sunset as well.
You had no idea I knew all of this stuff did ya!!!!!
Right....am pooped. Year 11 photograph tomorrow so need to get some sleep so that the dark circles under my eyes aren't too visible. Hahahaha.
Am still getting over the number of comments and views I have had in the last 2 days - I will get back and comment to people over the weekend...I promise...but it is all very overwhelming and very much appreciated :-)
