Abstract Nature
Thursdays are our camera club meeting days; in summer we go on walks. Today's walk took us up on Exmoor to visit Pinkery pond. I last visited here when my youngest was about ten - he is now 42. In those days it would have been a stroll in the park - today it was a schlep. We managed it - but the knees are telling me I have done over 14.5 steps.... The weather was overcast and we saw little apart from sheep and cattle. Heard at least three cuckoos calling which was wonderful. Found some thistles starting to bloom so using them for my blip - with a little playing.
Had a pleasant meal out at a local pub - the old Station at Blackmoor Gate - one of those routes axed by Mr Beeching all those years ago.
