Scorpion Mezcal

Scorpions are venomous creatures, and they live in many parts of Mexico. Mezcal is a liquor similar to tequila that is produced in Oaxaca. Some of us remember mezcal from our college days as the alcohol that had the worm...dare the last person to eat the worm. Turns out the man who owns the place where we live also produces mezcal, and the name of his mezcal is Scorpion Mezcal, and every bottle contains a scorpion. This particular scorpion was the survivor (although it is certainly well pickled) from our Christmas Eve party. I don't know what happens if you eat a venomous creature that has been lying in a bottle of alcohol, but the young manager ate one, so we'll see if he comes to work tomorrow.
