Presents #2

I love my new socks! My big sis, R, sent them to me. Since we are in the middle of a beautiful summer, it's almost impossible to purchase such neat items of clothing here at this time of the year. I love the reindeer, the colours, the snow flakes - everything! They're really comfy too.

Fortunately it was cool enough today to warrant putting my new socks on. :-)

After a busy day of doing this and that and not really achieving anything, what is better than relaxing on the sofa with a glass of red (it's time I finished the bottle - I've had it open for five days - no danger of me becoming an alcoholic then!), looking at the twinkling tree lights and just generally 'being'? Not much.

B is coming around later to watch a DVD with me and then I am really hoping that I can get an early night. I'm off to catch up with some friends in Ashburton tomorrow, so need my beauty sleep.

Booked a wee 'summer holiday' today too, so am really looking forward to that as well.

The wonders of technology allowed me to be a part of the present unwrapping in the UK with my family. I was pooped after a long day, but it was wonderful to be able to watch the kids' faces as they ripped open the wrapping and saw what was within.

I miss you guys. Thanks for including me.
