Japanese garden

I haven't got any further than the garden today as I've been poorly - but the garden is looking very good just now, due in no small part to the efforts of the MiL who kindly did a lot of weeding for us the other week. This pic is of part of the Japanese bed, with acers, peonies, hostas, grasses, bamboo and hydrangeas. The peonies are just getting going, can't wait! Loads of buds so it should be a good show. The deep red of Acer palmatum 'Okagami' is such a lovely foil for the vibrant green of the hosta.
