Unnatural light
The lighting from the cavity makes this a diabolical photo but I’m using it to symbolise the highest number of post-it notes that I’ve ever used in one day. This cross-border landscape between Mozambique and Tanzania is complicated with regard to environmental issues. Planning has focused around mapping a vision, threats and opportunities to understand the situation and coordinate better across the two countries. There is a great will and enthusiasm amongst those of us attending this workshop, so let’s hope we can transform it into sustained effort on the ground.
As can happen in these sorts of meetings, days are spent in windowless rooms with repeated requests to the management to turn down the air conditioning. The facilitator was strict (she had to be in order to keep us on target) but on one or two occasions we were released to snatch moments of natural light.
