New Toy!

Well, the weather was much better today, so as promised, I braved the cold to go down by the river and have a play with my new 10 stop ND filter.

Gravesend has got a waterfront, but to get to the natural bit, requires a walk of about a mile through some of the grittiest, derelict areas you can imagine - certainly not somewhere to venture after dark. Its a real shame, because there are some real dereliction photographic gems there too - but surrounded by fly tipping etc...

So past Denton Wharf and the Ship & Lobster to the edge of the Thames and lots of long exposures to flatten the sky and water. I liked this one best because of the colour the reflection gave it and the still shadows under the landing stage.
