Busy bee

The rhododendrons are starting to lose their blooms, but there are still plenty to keep the bees busy. This is the best of a bad lot, as they worn' pose for me and they move too fast.

As it's the first of June, and so supposedly summer, I went to the garden centre and bought a pile of pansies and alyssum for the front garden. 

We've been treating the back garden as a lost cause, but I decided that all I need to do is shift my mindset. It's now a wildlife garden, full of wild flowers. That will be a lot less work...
