Wedding Day....Number 2
Today was the second wedding ceremony of Emma and Andy. Held at Chateau de Panisseau near Bergerac. The wedding has been twelve months in the planning and was certainly a very special affair. The chateau and surrounding area was decked out complete with dance floor and huge marquee for the wedding breakfast.
I walked Emma down the aisle behind the bridesmaids and Andy's brother Matt presided over the exchange of vows ceremony. The wedding breakfast, not sure why it's called a breakfast when it's held at six pm, started with the speeches; to be precise the father of the bride speech. I managed that without making a complete fool of myself and it was nice to sit down and listen to the other speeches and have a drink and meal.
The wine came from the chateau's vineyards, a lovely red and a rose, and the caterers did an excellent job with the food.
A great evening went into full swing after the meal with dancing and free flowing alcohol.
Two professional photographers took constant pictures and I took a few, well a lot actually, and found it quite difficult to choose just one blip pic. A week ago I published a close-up of the pair at the Registery office, today it's more of an 'arty' shot representing the romance of the day.
