Outward bound

We went to Annapolis (Maryland's capital and home to the Naval Academy) as a last outing for the ladies today as they return to France on Monday.  

My touristy pix were mundane and where I'd pinned my hopes (the navy officers-to-be in their full whites) was not accessible as the ladies needed their passports to get in.  Sigh...

So I stood at the end of this alley, which connects two of the cobblestone streets in the old Annapolis and waited for people to either walk by at the other end or walk through. At the end of about 10mns of this, I hear a voice behind me, asking politely: "I was wondering if you were done with your photos and if I can walk through?" I need eyes in the back of my head... :)
