The Zigzag Track

I often wondered why the farmer made the zigzag in the track. It turns out that it’s an optical illusion due to the undulations in the land. Viewed from another angle the track goes straight up the hill.

Most of the snow has gone from my garden, but there’s still plenty on the hills. The mountains are grand, but they didn’t show themselves until the sun was too far behind them.

Overnight we had another 5mm of rain. This already makes June the wettest month so far this year.
