The sun came out (eventually).
The parade snaked it's way through the town.
The pipers piped.
The drummers drummed.
The massed bands marched.

The entertainers entertained.
The stunt show drew gasps.
Kids laughed.
Kids cried.
The beer tent bounced...…. and bounced...……. and bounced!

Family arrived.
Friends arrived.
Neighbours arrived.
Sausages sizzled.
Fizz was drunk.
Strawberries disappeared.

The torchlight procession passed by.
We went to bed...……… a grand gala day :-)
