Shocking

This is not what you expect to see in the centre of your village outside the Post Office!
It’s not a joyrider who has dumped it here but a poor lady whose car caught fire as she was driving up from Bingley, she pulled in here and the fire brigade came and put the fire out.
It must have been terrifying for her.

Having uploaded this shot I spotted the little ladder in the background highlighted in my thumbnail. The heart of the village is being turned upside down by building on what was a lovely green space. There’s always an upside for somebody and this ladder is providing a shortcut for the builders to go to the butcher’s for a pie or bacon butty!
(When the houses are built we are told some of the ‘green’ will be replaced. We’ll see. Personally I preferred seeing the ponies on the field with the buttercups flowering all around them, they won’t be back but such is progress!) https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2008070
