Birthday

M-in-L very surprised to learn that she's now 85.

She arrived in tears (and wearing a jim jam shirt over her blouse) but she soon rallied, enjoyed lunch and seeing Henry and told us about her early career working with the Hollerith machine (an early computer)

It was beautiful at 5.39am when the birds woke me but this afternoon it's dull and rainy.
