Crested Crane

Went to Pensthorpe today with a gardening club - they were interested in the gardens (naturally) but, apart from photographing flowers, I preferred to look at the birds. This pic I had to wait ages for as he was determined to tease by constantly hiding in the reeds! The extra is especially for 'Kevin V' - not in his league of course, but the first pic I have managed of a Red Squirrel - unfortunately only in the compound as they cannot survive against the greys in this part of the UK. A lovely day out - and lovely weather too!
