Checking for....

This White Faced Heron at the Cowrie hole was checking rock pools for a feed.  I was checking out what was going on at the Cowrie hole as you can see by the extras and aside from some surfers there were Gannets checking for fish and I also saw my first whale of the season.  A juvenile Humpback.  I didn't see an adult with it but I am sure there would have been one somewhere fairly close.  How exciting!

PS, the autofocus seemed to be fine today.  I wonder if it was just the grey skies and conditions yesterday which made it hard to track the cockies.
