Normal service has been resumed

It is Wednesday so the Haltwhistle Walkers walked. The vast majority are away visiting families or have families staying with them, so we were down to 7 people. We did 8 muddy miles with intermittent rain, including the climb to Winshields Crags.

This shot is really a caption competition if any of you feel like it. We had just finished lunch in the rain. What are they singing or saying?

I can't tell you that the barbed wire is to keep the Scots out of England because all but one are English. Also this wall is at right angles to Hadrian's Wall. The hill falls away to the right, so how is it that the Scot, D, appears to be taller than everyone else when he's not. One of life's little mysteries.

We had a lot of fun and enjoyed a bit crack in the pub afterwards. It was quiet in there before we arrived........
