Eid Mubarak

Word came through about 8pm that the moon had been sighted so Ramadan finished tonight. There’d been speculation by some astronomers that the new moon wouldn’t be seen and we’d have to wait another day. Given the three days public holiday start tomorrow, I’m glad we can now eat and drink (coffee) in public again.

Sad to see my evening class finish. They’ve been a good group and I’m sure some of us will keep in touch. And the same with a couple of students from the afternoon class too.

It’s almost 2am and my coffee at 6.40pm is still very effective.. time to get my body clock back to normal. I’ve just spent the evening from 10.30pm to 1am in the shopping mall and it was busy. Normal trading hours return tomorrow (today)...
