Maryport Junctions

Back to the junction theme while I wait for a sunny day to try out some IR photography. This is the junction of Well Lane and Shipping brow, which shows the Maritime Museum across the road. If you look to the left of the museum, you will see a gap and then a public house. In the second world war there use to be a house in that gap. This house was destroyed one night along with part of the National School. When an enemy bomber jettisoned some bombs as it flew back to base. All the occupants in the house were killed.
