Barbara wearing one of my Christmas presents. She is easy to please. Gold or diamonds - take your pick, they make her happy.

It was a lovely day yesterday, and this was Barbara just before leaving on Boxing day for more mince pies, chocolate cake, shortbread, coffee (no alcohol this afternoon!), at the home of our daughter Rosslyn.

This time of year is always full of surprises. My Boxing day morning surprise was finding a bottle of Champagne both Barbara and myself had forgotten about. Nice.
