Fresh From The Oven

Well that's how they seem to me - like fresh baked bread. I wouldn't risk trying some though! Nevertheless I was attracted by the strong colour and texture set against the darker bark of the decaying trunk. A single vine beginning its twisted journey adds a contrasting dash of bright green to the image.

I experimented with several viewpoints and focal lengths, some filling the frame with the fungi, but eventually opting to allow space around it showing the trunk and adding contrast and context to the frame.
