Echium

These tiny flowers form part of the very large flowering spike of the Echium plant see extra.  There are a number of these growing in the coastal areas of Devon although several suffered in the recent cold winter spells.  

Rather a dull day but I avoided this by doing a water fitness class and pilates this morning.  Then we had some rain, so very good for the gardens.
