Juliana v. USA
Today is the day we were planning for, the day we made the banner for, the day of the hearing for Juliana v. USA, also sometimes called Youth v. Gov. I’ve linked to the background report before, so you probably know how important it is. The website for the group of plaintiffs is here. This is the group of plaintiffs with their lawyers and parents passing by us, some waving, some arm-in-arm, on their way to the courthouse. It was a joy to see them, to be a public showing of support for them, to bask in their smiles and their courage.
After the hearing, there was a rally that drew about a thousand people, and I was able to be present for the first hour of it (see Extra). Then, leaving the documentation of the event to the other 999 people (including Sue), I went home and rested.
