Clean pyjama'd children gather round the tree for the real candles of yesteryear to be lit whilst the adults tunelessly sing carols with missing words.

Followed by the traditional snuffing out of the candles with a soaking wet mini mop.

Christmas is all about tradition (in all its shapes and forms).
