D-Day

After reassembling a clock, I set about repainting the downstairs loo and clock cleaning store. I listened to the moving D-Day broadcast while working and it reminded me of how important our relationship is with our nearest neighbour and Europe in general.  The EU, for all its faults, has  helped keep the peace on the continent and been a force for good in terms of security and stability.  One veteran expressed his fear that we might be on the point of throwing that away and I could only agree.
