First Orchid

Squirrel was pushing the boundaries this morning before we dropped them off at school - she really is coming close to a good hiding.

PD's walk was obviously a bit later than usual, but it was actually a nice morning.
I had the big camera with the long lens on it with the intention of trying to get some wildlife shots but came back with a bunch of plants shots.
They were all taken at the long end or the range and wide open.
Of the eight that are HERE I think I like the last buttercup one best.

The bit of wood with the resin on it has cured - but it will need sanding down a bit and some more put on to finish filling some of the burr flaws.
I am glad to say though that the final recipient has seen it and is delighted with it as it is, so I think it will pass muster when it is finally finished.
