Grass Snake

We paid a visit to the "Jagdschloss Kranichstein" today, which houses a nice little museum. The museum has prepared a little course for kids, where they hid interesting items (teeth of a wild boar, a gun and such) in large boxes, and the children need to find out what is in there. We enjoyed it very much.

Near the Schloss, there is a pond with ducks and geese - and this snake! I took a bunch of shots during our visit (see them here), but had to choose this one, though it's not such a good pic. I never before was lucky enough to see a living snake, let alone a swimming one! (The goose seemed to have met her before, she backed off immediatly after I took the shot.)
