Ready When Called Upon

I got a lot of mileage out of this fire hydrant this morning. I had just read, ‘A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?’
(Proverbs 20:24). And all I could see was an object that stood ready; that would be ready when called upon. Now I hope I’m like that, I pray that I’ll heed the call when it’s sounded, that I’ll be the light in the darkness. Even though I walk around in the fog of man.

After a few quiet days I feel the creative in me becoming restless, so I expect to be busy as the week draws to a close.
