Boxing Day Madness

Today was surprisingly busy and I failed in my usual "staying in PJs" for the event.

Tonight found me building the Disney little people castle for my niece that she got for Christmas from my mum. This was susprisingly challenging and I had to undo some screws a couple of times which resulted in a few huffs and puffs and maybe an occasional explitive - why are these toys so ridiculously hard to get up.

It was totally worth it in the end as Aidan helped Niamh work it all out and we all had a very good laugh playing.

Later Aidan put on a puppet show for us with the TellTale puppet theatre that I got the kids for Christmas. Niamh loved watching her brother's performance and then got in on the action sending us all into histerics with her antics.

I've been very grateful for the amount of time my Sister and Brother in Law have let me spend with them through the Christmas period.

Tomorrow night I have offered to cook for my parents - the aim being something light and a little healthier as we are all feeling the effects of too much rich food.
