What a thrill !

I know that it's an older photo but with T.T. week just finished in the Isle of Man, I thought that might be of interest.
Derek Rumble, from Ormskirk, an ex-TT sidecar racer, had built a replica of his 1960s, 650cc BSA outfit and was asked to do the " Lap of Honour "at the 2005 T.T. . This is for riders who have raced in the T.T.
As he used to build modern racing outfits for me and my mate Ron, in the 1980s and 90s, he asked me if I'd like to passenger him on it, in the the Isle of Man. It took me about half a second to say yes !
This is us, at the Bungalow, on the Mountain section of the course.
A beautiful sunny day and going at quite a lick, just before the Senior race took place.
It was a truly thrilling experience, with spectators waving, all the way around the lap.
I still keep in touch with Derek, who is a very young 85 years old and won't forget my lap of honour, for a long time !
