An Old Airman's Life

Texas and Pacific Lofts

My wife and I have been living in this building for almost 13 years.  Originally, the upper floors where we live were offices for the Texas and Pacific Railway.  The first floor had been the ticket/waiting room and a diner.  The building was erected in 1931 and was used until the mid 1960's by the railroad.  After the end of the trains, several companies used it as office space.  Because the north side of downtown Fort Worth boomed while the south side floundered, city officials talked of demolishing it.  Thankfully, this beauty was given second life as a condominium.
