We’ll Need Our Waterproofs And Wellies

It’s that time of year again, the highlight of Yorkshire’s Equestrian calendar, eagerly anticipated by young and old alike...it’s Bramham Horse Trials weekend!

Today was Day 2, dressaging in the main arena and show jumping in the 2nd arena. We managed a free entry, courtesy of my companion’s friend who had a trade stand and we were lucky to have a dry morning and were even luckier to catch recent Badminton champion, Piggy French (a childhood name I personally would have let drop) in the warm up arena, getting close enough to really appreciate her horsemanship and focus.

By the time the rain started we were ready to call it a day...especially as I am going back again tomorrow for cross country day with fellow Blipper and horse lover WinchWench.... I think we’ll need our waterproofs and wellies!
