Very definitely my last attempt

Phalaropes are still proving a little elusive and this will be my last effort. Not perfect but it does give a feel of both the birds and the habitat. A couple of years ago, a data logger attached to one of these on Orkney revealed an absolutely ridiculous migration.
It left Orkney, crossed the Atlantic, crossed the Panama  isthmus and then wintered in the Pacific off Chile before returning to Orkney next Summer. Not bad for 30g of bird without any sat-nav.
