JFK Memorial

Christmas Eve and the weather in Fort Worth was so pleasant we walked around downtown before church. Brunch at our favorite Italian place, a few pints at the Flying Saucer and a stop at the newest memorial in town. JFK spent his last night in Fort Worth at the Texas Hotel. It is now the Hilton. Before he left for his flight to Dallas, he gave a short speech. This area has been a city park for a long time. The idea of a memorial has been in the works almost from the time of the assassination. It has recently become a reality.
