The Pier
at Clevedon, in the English county of Somerset. I try and visit the southwest part of the country once a year and meet up with old friends in Cornwall which is the extreme southwestern area.
The pier was started in the 1820s but has needed rebuilding after storm damage. It looks in good order now.
The land mass opposite is Wales and the water is the Bristol Channel meeting the Atlantic off to the left.. The maximum tidal range is 14 - 15 metres, the second largest in the world, 1st place goes to Canada.
