The Pink Flowering Gum Muncher

I have been stalking this Pink Flowering Gum for a while...waiting for it to blossom.

The Red Flowering Gum is very very beautiful but there is something about the Pink that is divine.

Anyhoo.........as I was snapping away this little guy appeared......I love it with his beak right down into the flower and the little cap on the unfurling bud is such and iconic (to me) image of the Australian Snugglepot and Cuddlepie (the Gumnut babies) childrens stories.........I love it!

I will go back before too long and take some snaps of it in it's total glory before it has it's day.
