It's been a very warm day, so I took the opportunity to do some chores at home, inside.
My bed problem is on the way to a solution. The carpentry ( if that is the right word for the place were carpenters work...?) at work is helping me with a different solution than I planned, but so much easier! I just went there to talk about my options and see if my plan for the bed was a good one. My boss suggested that I should talk with the guy in charge at the carpentry, so I did.
He said my plan was good and totally doable, but it was going to be expensive. He suggested a different plan which includes the use of some of the old bed parts. Then he told me he would help me to make legs and two other parts for my bed, and I was so happy! There's one problem, though... There's a need for really strong screws and he suggested that I should bring the side parts for my bed but they are 2 meters long and I have no idea how I can get them to work, and how I can get the bed frame home. On the bus home yesterday I came up with a plan and I've got it on paper so I can show the carpenter this on Monday and give him the screws belonging to my old bed. Fingers crossed!
I made a top on Thursday, for work. I took an old top, removed the sleeves and made new ones with a contrasting fabric. When I sewed the lining for the neckline I sewed on it too loose and so I have to redo a part of the sleeve. The old sleeves will be used in another sewing project. I printed that pattern today. :)
Tomorrow will be a bit cooler, thankfully!
