The best day's cycle ever (better again)

100 km of pure cycling joy, including a 30 km downhill section.

The photo is 4 km into this downhill, looking down into the valley where we were headed. We started in the clouds and it slowly got hotter and clearer. Amazing. I'm not sure sure the four fully loaded touring cyclists were so happy though as they were headed in the other direction.

The downhill section was the highlight of the day, but the rest was amazing cycling as well. The countryside is stunningly beautiful and the people are lovely.

We've started playing moped bingo. So far today 'bingo' moments have been a moped pulling along two very long tree trunks, carrying a lot of trays of eggs, a whole load of feather dusters, a bike a d finally a small garden centre (well a whole load of plants). We asked our guide last night what was the best thing he had seen and he said a buffalo (alive).

Tonight we're going for a seafood barbecue.
